SSW - Japan
The Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) residency status, introduced by Japan in April 2019, allows skilled foreign workers, including Indian youth, to address labor shortages in Japan. India and Japan signed an SSW Memorandum of Cooperation in January 2021, enabling Indians to work and reside in Japan under this program.
